Dry Cleaning for Wood Buffalo
Garment Care That Respects Every Community
Wood Buffalo is one of Fort McMurray's most diverse neighbourhoods — a mix of longtime residents, newcomers, and oil industry workers who bring a wide range of garment care needs. We serve Wood Buffalo with professional dry cleaning, alterations, traditional and cultural garment care, FR coverall cleaning, and large item cleaning — done properly, not rushed.

Garment Care for a Diverse Community
Wood Buffalo's multicultural makeup means we see garments from around the world. We handle them all — carefully and correctly.
Traditional & Cultural Garments
Wood Buffalo has a significant South Asian, Filipino, and West African community. We clean saris, salwar kameez, abayas, kurtas, and traditional formal wear using methods appropriate for delicate embroidered, beaded, or silk garments — not the same treatment as a cotton dress shirt.
FR Coveralls for Site Workers
Many Wood Buffalo residents work on oil sands sites. We clean flame-resistant coveralls — Nomex, Westex, Bulwark — without bleach or softener that degrades the FR treatment. We check for damage and fraying before returning them.
Alterations for Non-Standard Sizes
Standard Canadian sizing does not fit everyone. Our tailor adjusts garments to the wearer — shortening sleeves, taking in waists, hemming traditional wear, and resizing clothing purchased internationally. We work with all garment types.
Celebration & Event Wear
Wood Buffalo families celebrate weddings, Eid, Diwali, Christmas, and cultural milestones year-round. We clean and press formal garments before and after events — suits, evening gowns, traditional dress — so they are ready for the next occasion.
Large Bedding & Household Linens
Wood Buffalo's mix of houses and apartments means not every resident has a washer that handles a king duvet. We clean large bedding, prayer rugs, table runners, and household linens in commercial-capacity equipment — properly, not just turned around quickly.
Key Cutting While You Wait
We cut house, padlock, and cabinet keys while you drop off your cleaning. Wood Buffalo residents with multiple units or recently changed locks find this convenient — one stop, two errands. No appointment needed.
Getting Here from Wood Buffalo
From Wood Buffalo, take Highway 63 south through downtown. Cross the Athabasca River bridge, then take Confederation Way east into Eagle Ridge. Turn right on Loutit Rd — we are in East Village Plaza beside Tim Hortons. About 15 to 20 minutes depending on where in Wood Buffalo you start.
We are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. No appointment needed for drop-offs. We hold garments up to 30 days.

Do you handle traditional garments carefully?
Yes. We assess each garment individually — fabric type, embellishment, care label — before cleaning. Traditional garments with embroidery, beadwork, or delicate silk panels get hand-finished inspection before return.
Can you alter clothing that was purchased in another country?
Yes. Our tailor is experienced with garments in a range of styles and sizes. Bring in the item and we will assess it — alterations that may seem complex are often straightforward for an experienced tailor.
How long does cleaning take?
Standard turnaround is two to three business days for dry cleaning, longer for heavy alterations or specialty items. We quote a timeline when you drop off. Rush is available — call ahead.
