Dry Cleaning for Thickwood
Fort McMurray's Most Established Neighbourhood Deserves Expert Care
Thickwood is one of Fort McMurray's oldest neighbourhoods — built in the 1970s, it has housed generations of oil sands workers, trades families, and longtime residents who know quality. We have been serving Thickwood since we opened in 2013, and we understand what this community needs: proper FR coverall care, sharp alterations, and dry cleaning done right the first time — not sent to a warehouse in Edmonton.

What Thickwood Brings Us
Thickwood has more long-tenured oil industry workers per capita than most Fort McMurray neighbourhoods. That shapes what lands on our counter.
FR Coveralls & PPE
Thickwood has housed oil sands workers since the Syncrude era. We clean Nomex, Westex, Bulwark, and generic FR blends following manufacturer protocols — no bleach, correct temperatures, full inspection of FR integrity before return.
Vintage & Heirloom Garments
Older Thickwood families often have garments that have been in the family for decades — wool suits, dress uniforms, wedding gowns from the 1980s and 90s. We handle delicate vintage textiles that most cleaners refuse.
Trades Uniform Alterations
Thickwood tradespeople know that off-the-shelf workwear never fits right. We hem coveralls to the right length, shorten sleeves, replace worn zippers, and resize utility pants so they are functional and safe on site.
Household Linens & Duvets
Thickwood families bring us duvets, comforters, and sleeping bags that need real cleaning — not a wash-and-fold. Our large-capacity equipment handles king-sized bedding properly, removing allergens and odours that home washers cannot fully address.
Hockey & Sports Gear
Thickwood Minor Hockey runs through multiple rinks in the area. We clean equipment bags, jerseys, and gear that cannot go in a home washer — deodorized, sanitized, returned ready for the next game.
Leather & Suede
Thickwood's established residents invest in quality leather jackets, suede boots, and dress shoes. We clean and condition leather without the drying, cracking, or colour loss that a regular cleaner causes.
Getting Here from Thickwood
From Thickwood Blvd, take Confederation Way south toward Eagle Ridge. Turn onto Loutit Rd and we are in East Village Plaza — the same plaza as Tim Hortons. The drive is about 10 minutes from most of Thickwood.
Drop off in the morning before the highway. Pick up on the way back from a shift. We hold garments for up to 30 days so your schedule does not have to match ours.
Hours: Mon–Fri 9 am–6 pm | Sat 10 am–5 pm
Address: 129-375 Loutit Rd, Fort McMurray (Eagle Ridge — East Village Plaza)
Do you clean FR coveralls properly?
Yes. No chlorine bleach, no fabric softener, correct temperatures. We preserve the FR rating — critical for Thickwood's oil sands workers who depend on it for site safety compliance.
Can you hem workwear and coveralls?
Yes. We alter coveralls, work pants, and uniform shirts. Bring them in and our tailor will assess and quote on the spot — no appointment needed.
What is your turnaround time?
Standard is two to three business days. Many Thickwood customers drop off Monday, pick up Wednesday or Thursday on the drive home. Rush service is available — call ahead.
